This is an overnight position with 3 12-hour shifts; a shift differential is available.
Join the Frontlines of Patient Movement - Be the Air Traffic Controller of UVA Health's Medical Transportation Network! As a vital member of UVA Heath and supporting UVA's Medical Transport Network, you'll serve as the central command-coordinating the flow of patients across our system and beyond. This role is all about real-time communication, precision decision-making, and orchestrating the deployment of ground and air medical teams during internal/external emergencies and facilitating patient transfers across health systems. You'll collaborate with clinical teams, EMS partners, and operational leaders to ensure patients are moved safely, efficiently, and with urgency when every second counts. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Experience: Previous multi-mission communications center experience preferred. Licensure: Certification as an Advanced EMT or higher in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Certified Flight Communicator Certification preferred. EMD Certification preferred. National Registry Certification as EMS Provider preferred. Basic Dispatcher course preferred.
