The University of Virginia's School of Education and Human Development seeks qualified applicants for the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education to teach and provide content expertise for programs in reading and literacy education. Opportunities are available on-grounds at the University of Virginia and online during summer 2025 and the 2025-26 academic year. A terminal degree in Reading or Literacy Education is required. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Previous K-12 or higher education teaching experience in the course content area is strongly preferred. Positions will be filled on an on-going basis according to curriculum needs and appointments are typically for teaching a single course. This is an at-will faculty wage position which does not carry benefits.
