A Brief Overview What You Will Do Demonstrates successful technical and patient skills by efficiently implementing CT scanning protocols and procedures in diagnostic CT according to expected service excellence standards. Collaborates effectively and in a timely manner with coworkers, staff and patients while displaying a positive attitude. Take responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Adheres to ALARA, Image Gently, Image Wisely standards and hospital CT safety standards. Consistently follow hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety. Demonstrates competency in patient and technical imaging skills by producing a variety of radiological procedures while maintaining the highest standard of care independently and collaboratively. Displays a commitment to hospital mission and values. Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements. Uses administrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department. Effectively communicates with ordering providers and/or radiologists to properly protocol patient studies. Ensures all equipment is functioning and demonstrates ability to initiate service repair process. Refer to competency for all essential duties. Additional Responsibilities Participates in committees or projects as needed. Proficient at training and orienting students and new staff Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. | |
