We are looking for a motivated Sales Representative to join our team in the commercial and industrial HVAC market. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn. No industry experience needed, we'll provide the training and support to help you grow into a trusted, long-term partner for our clients.

As a Sales Representative, you will identify and secure new clients while nurturing long-term relationships with existing ones. You'll conduct on-site visits, make calls, and follow up on leads from our service and installation teams to build a strong pipeline. By assessing client needs, preparing proposals, and recommending service contract solutions, you'll play a key role in delivering reliable HVAC/R solutions to our customers.

Your efforts don't stop at the sale, you'll ensure a seamless handoff to our operations team, monitor contracts, and proactively support renewals to keep clients satisfied. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and secure potential clients in the commercial/industrial markets for HVAC/R
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients by means of on-site visits, phone contact, tailored letters, cold calls, and leads list developed by service department referrals and installation projects
  • Meet with clients to assess their HVAC needs; recommend appropriate service contract solutions
  • Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure all sales agreements have been completed per company standards, and customers are fully satisfied
  • Foster a working relationship with all departments to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of contracts
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in regulations to stay competitive and make strategic decisions
  • Prepare detailed service proposals, quotes, and contract agreements; negotiate terms and conditions with customers while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Price and bid all projects per the organization's pricing plan and structure
  • Maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise; monitor contract renewals and proactively reach out to clients to ensure continuation of services


Additional Responsibilities

  • Forward potential equipment sales opportunities to the appropriate department within the company for follow-up
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor


Minimum Requirements

  • Current, valid driver's license
  • Associate's degree in Business, Sales, or related field, OR at least 2 years sales experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work remotely or independently as required
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly
  • Occasional overnight travel required
  • Ability to problem solve and offer viable solutions to clients


Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, service, and maintenance programs
  • Self-motivated with the desire to succeed and exceed sales goals


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit up to eight (8) hours per working day
  • Able to safely work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, use hands and fingers to grasp and handle object
